Course Description: AP Stats is an advanced placement class where students will learn how to collect, organize, summarize, and analyze data to gain insights into patterns and trends and to make predictions of future behavior. Probability, counting theory, simulations, and mathematical modeling will be studied. Technology will be used to create simulations and mathematical modeling will be studied. Technology will be used to create simulations and analyze data and each student will be required to have a graphing calculator with statistical features. (The TI-83, or TI- 84, or TI-86 calculator is recommended).
