Course Description: AP Calculus covers the topics generally found in a first semester college calculus course. Topics include: limits, derivatives, and their applications, integrals and their applications, as well as the calculus of trigonometric, logarithmic and exponential functions. This is a calculator based course. All students will be required to own or rent a graphics calculator. (The TI-86, or TI-85, TI-84,or TI-83 calculator is recommended). The TI-89 is allowed on the AP Exam, however it is not allowed on the ACT, so we don't recommend it. A heavy emphasis is placed on preparing students to take the Advanced Placement (AP) test in May.
